Our mission
To promote an integrated, peaceful Africa by empowering stakeholders, disputing parties and institutions to resolve conflicts through innovative mediation, strategic partnerships, inclusive dialogue and cooperation.

About PAIRS-ALLIANCE
Established in October 2016, PAIRS-ALLIANCE is an independent, non-partisan regional and international non-governmental organisation specialising in track-one and track-two mediation across complex African conflict settings.
Our identity
PAIRS-ALLIANCE bridges high-level multilateral mandates and field-level action, connecting formal state negotiations with grassroots mediation in intricate conflict landscapes throughout Africa.
Independent: As a self-governing organisation, we protect our conflict mapping, assessments and analysis from external influence and political pressure.
Non-partisan: We serve as a neutral third party, applying an objective perspective that balances asymmetric stakeholder views without taking sides.
Pan-African: We champion African-led solutions to African challenges, strengthening solidarity and cross-border peacebuilding.
Our approach combines data-driven conflict assessments with evidence-based operational strategies to support comprehensive peace accords and measurable, durable outcomes.
To promote an integrated, peaceful Africa by empowering stakeholders, disputing parties and institutions to resolve conflicts through innovative mediation, strategic partnerships, inclusive dialogue and cooperation.
A unified and peaceful Africa where communities, institutions and disputing parties resolve conflict through collaboration, dialogue and regional cooperation.
To uphold ethical peacebuilding standards by safeguarding confidentiality, centring conflict-affected communities and communicating with transparency and integrity.
Our values
Peace processes must create meaningful space for affected communities, women, young people and traditionally excluded voices.
We remain non-partisan and pursue peaceful outcomes without advancing the political interests of any party.
Durable solutions are built with communities, not designed for them from a distance.
Safety, informed consent, confidentiality and responsible engagement come before publicity.
We are committed to verifiable reporting, responsible governance and transparent use of resources.
Regional risks require connected responses across borders, institutions and disciplines.
